Our Journey

A Light in the Darkness of Ignorance

From an academic curiosity to an educational platform dedicated to the deep understanding of light.

VVendelight was born in 2018 from the founder's passion, Dr. Valentin Radulescu, for the phenomenon of light and its impact on human perception. Initially a personal blog with technical articles, the project evolved organically, attracting other specialists in related fields – physics, architecture, psychology – who contributed their expertise. We went through key stages: consolidating an interdisciplinary research methodology, launching the first structured course on color theory, and expanding the content to also cover the cultural and historical dimension of light. Today, we are proud of a community of passionate readers and a body of knowledge that clarifies and illuminates.

Our Manifesto

Light as the foundation of perception

VVendelight is an educational platform dedicated to analyzing light from multiple perspectives: physical, cultural, and perceptual. Our mission is to provide a deep and structured understanding of the essential role of light in the human experience and in shaping the built environment.

Core Value

Theoretical Rigor

Our content is based on research and logical analysis, offering clear and detailed explanations of luminous phenomena, free from commercial influences.

We offer clarity instead of confusion.
Distinctive Feature

Interdisciplinary Perspective

We explore light at the intersection of science, art, and psychology, highlighting how it shapes culture, emotions, and spatial perception.

We connect seemingly disparate fields.
Mission

Accessible Education

We aim to democratize knowledge about light, transforming complex concepts into accessible and well-structured educational materials for everyone.

We illuminate through knowledge.
Promise

Neutrality and Depth

We are motivated exclusively by passion for the subject and the desire to share knowledge. There are no hidden agendas or product recommendations.

Pure content, without external influences.

Frequently Asked Questions

Theoretical and explanatory answers about the phenomenon of light and human perception.

Question 1

How does physics define light as a phenomenon?

Light is electromagnetic radiation visible to the human eye, with wavelengths between approximately 380 and 750 nanometers. It possesses dual properties, manifesting both as a wave and as a particle (photon).

Question 2

What role does light play in the perception of space?

Light shapes the perception of volume, texture, and distance. Through its direction, intensity, and color, it can accentuate or diminish certain characteristics of a space, directly influencing the observer's psychological state.

Question 3

What is the difference between color temperatures?

Color temperature, measured in Kelvin (K), describes the hue of light. Warm light (2700K-3000K) is relaxing, neutral light (3500K-4500K) is balanced, and cool light (5000K+) is energizing and similar to daylight.

Question 4

How has the cultural significance of light evolved?

Throughout history, light has been associated with divinity, knowledge, and purity. From primitive fire to electric lighting, it has shaped rituals, art, and social organization, remaining a powerful symbol of hope and progress.

Question 5

What is the circadian rhythm and how does light affect it?

The circadian rhythm is the body's internal 24-hour biological clock. Natural light, especially the blue light in the daytime spectrum, is the primary regulator of this cycle, influencing sleep, wakefulness, and metabolic functions.

Project Foundation

The beginning of Dr. Valentin Radulescu's academic research on the interaction between light, perception, and space, laying the conceptual foundations of the VVendelight platform.

Platform Launch

The first article published on vvendelight.com, marking the public debut of the educational resource dedicated to the theoretical analysis of light as a cultural and perceptual phenomenon.

Content Expansion

Introduction of the structured "Built Space" section, with case studies and detailed analyses on the role of lighting in architecture and urban design.

Community and Collaboration

Development of a network of passionate contributors and readers, solidifying VVendelight's position as a reference resource in the field of light theory.
